Its already been one year that Nepal clinched the first ever AFC Solidarity Cup 2016 trophy.
 

Nepal defeated Macau 1-0 in the final held on November 15, 2016 in Kuching, Malaysia. The achievement helped Nepal to compete in AFC Asian cup 2019 qualification following Guam withdrawal.

Nepal didn't win a single match in 2017. Gorkhalis played total six international matches this year.

They scored just two goals whereas they conceded 11 goals.

Bishal Rai scored for Nepal in 4-1 loss to Philippines in Manila while Bimal Gharti Magar scored for Nepal in 2-1 loss to Tajikistan at home.

AFC Asian Cup 2019 qualification

Philippines vs Nepal on March 28 (4-1)

Nepal Vs Yemen on June 13 (0-0)

Tajikistan Vs Nepal on October 10 (3-0)

Nepal vs Tajikistan on September 5 (1-2)

Nepal Vs Philippines on November 14 (0-0)

International Friendly:

India vs Nepal on Jun 6 (2-0 Friendly)

Reward:

Nepal national team players got NRs 6 lakh (USD 6,000) reward from Nepal government and ANFA. Nepal government provided Rs 3 lakh while ANFA provided Rs 3 lakh for winning AFC Solidarity cup. ANFA regularly provides Rs 15,000 (USD 150) per month as monthly salary to the players.
