Nepal has paved a difficult way to AFC Asian Cup 2019 Qualification as they lost Tajikistan 1-2 in its home match at ANFA Complex, Satdobato on Tuesday.

Nepal conceded two silly goals in the first half that cost them dear. Dzhalilov Manuchehr and Vasiev Dilshod scored apiece for Tajikistan while substitute Bimal Gharti Magar pulled one back for Nepal.

Tajikistan played long balls and created many goal scoring opportunities in the game causing trouble to the hosts.

Gorkhalis started the match with full spirit and energy for the first ten minutes. However, they couldn't continue their performance for longer as Tajikistan took early lead in the game in the 25th minute through Dzhalilov Manuchehr, who simply tapped ball home from a close range after Nepal goalie Kiran Chemjong failed to collect skipper Fatkhullo's header on Parvizjon corner from right.

Soon after four minutes, Vasiev Dilshod doubled the lead for Tajikistan as he netted the half cleared ball from Nepal glovesman Kiran Chemjong on low shot of Aliev Jahongir from the  right.

Earlier, Nepal goalie Kiran Chemjong had denied Dzhalilov's and Fatkhullo's effort from the edge of the box.

Bimal Gharti Magar was fielded in place of Nawayug Shrestha six minutes before half-time to provide attacking options.

There were not much notable attaking moves from Nepal in the first half. Sujal Shrestha couldn't meet Anjan's Bista's through ball near the edge of the box allowing Tajikistan goalie Mahkamov Abduaziz to come forward to collect the ball in the 25th minute.

Nepal performance in the second was a lot better than the first half. Nepal didn’t look confident in the start of second half but they made simultaneous attacking moves towards the last quarter.

Bimal Gharti Magar’s freekick from 30 yard went just over the left top corner in the 55th minute of the game.

Bharat Khawas was replaced by Bikram lama in the 58th minute to provide some reinforcement in the midfield.

Bimal Gharti Magar pulled one goal back for Nepal after scoring a beautiful clipped goal from just inside the box. He met Anjan Bista’s through ball in the right and clipped the ball over Tajikistan goalie Mahkamov Abduaziz.

Shortly, defender Kamal Shrestha tried his luck from 40 yard distance but his powerful shot was punched away by Tajikistan goalie Abduaziz.
