Asian football Confederation(AFC) has disqualified Nepal National U-16 Team from AFC U-16 Championship for fielding an overage player, Nepal U-16 Skipper Manish Karki, in all three matches of AFC U-16 group B Qualifiers held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan last month.
 

The team had qualified for the final round of of AFC U-16 Championship 2016 India as one of the best runners up.

AFC had done MRI of three Nepal U-16 players; Goalie Arpan Karki, Skipper Manish Karki and Forward Rezen Subba, in Kyrgyzstan but only skipper Manish Karki was found overage.

Nepal defeated Jordan 2-1, defeated Kyrgyzstan 4-2 and was beaten by Oman 3-1 in the qualifiers.

Now, AFC said Nepal have lost all matches in the margin of 3-0 and are out from the qualifiers. ANFA is fined with 1500 USD per match. The FA will have to pay total of 14,500 USD within 30 days for fielding overage player .

It is learned from a close source that ANFA received letter from AFC on Saturday. 

AFC is yet to issue press release on the matter.
