Yeti FC has appointed former Madhyapur Youth Association (MYA) player Gyan Shrestha as its assistant coach of the team.
Shrestha is also the player of the club.
His credential, speaks for itself, from experience in playing from Nepal A Division with Boys Union Club to coaching MYA junior team. He started as MYA player and still has association with the team in Nepal.
An Ex-model moved to Melbourne in 2008 with his ex-model wife Nirja Ranjit Shrestha and joined Yeti FC. He has lead the team in many occasions and won plenty, his CV includes GNC Cup 4 times, 9-a-side 2 times, State vs State 1 time, Fair play award 2012, 5-a-side runner-up, influential in promoting from Div 1 to Premier League.
Yeti FC Secretary, Karna Rana said it was proud moment to appoint Shrestha as the assistant coach.

Best Player of the year 2013 – Nirajan Gurung. Right half but can play Central Defender as well. Unanimous vote from the Coach, Manager, Seniors non players for his outstanding dedication, hardworking, solid as rock, technically gifted and versatile player. He Has been backbone of Yeti FC for last 6 years and is very hard working and a dedicated player. From Boudha, Kathmandu and has only played division 3 in Nepal.
Best Debutant of the year 2013 – Mihir Pradhan – Only 14 years of age but very gifted player. Powerful game, striker’s instinct, scored in his debut. Joined mid-season and Scored about 5 goals this season in past 9 games. One for the future and have very high hopes from Coach Prabesh KC. Only has played at school level.
Fair Play Award 2013 – Bishal Gurung – A true gentlemen, hardly loses his cool in tight and difficult situation. In past 10 years of playing in Australian league this year’s Premier league was the quickest and toughest but he remained composed for over 22 games Yeti FC played. From Pokhara and have played handful of games in Pokhara
Most Dedicated Player 2013 – Umesh Khadka – An previous U-19 Nepal players, played with the likes of current national goal-keeper Kiran Chemjong. He lost about 10 kilos in 6 months to become match fit and made an impact in the team. He plays in No. 10 role and very natural player, technically brilliant and one of the most skilful player in Yeti FC.
Top Scorer 2013 – Hari Gurung – One of the Quickest winger in Australia even at the age of 37. Backbone of Yeti FC establishment 13 years ago. Outside football, the most generous and hardworking guy actively involved in charity work and cultural programs. He is also a terrific volleyball player representing Narayangadh District as first raiser.
Best Debutant 2013 – Bijay Gurung – Joined us in end of 2012, a true gentleman. Has played in Pokhara in top tournaments. A versatile player can play midfield and defence, use both feet’s.
Most improved player 2013 – Bigyan Gurung – joined Yeti FC at the young age of 17 for 5 years however this year was his breakthrough season for him.
Guest Players – Binam Hona, Bijay Karki, Sangeet Shrestha and Deewans Basnet – to prepare for the Premier league we loaned the best players from Sydney and Melbourne football teams.
Academic Achievement 2013 – Ashim Panta – Young goal scoring midfielder and a genius too. Based on Academic transcript he was chosen among 15 top students for scholarship to study in China and was awarded $5000 from Australian Government. He’s major is Aerospace Engineering and was one of the 3 students chosen.
Yeti Person of the Year 2013 – Sudeep Maskey – a very talented MC who hosts all the shows for Yeti FC, probably one of the most generous guy as well in Yeti FC. He is part of the Yeti Management and has always put clubs and players interest ahead of his own. A very deserving winner and named Yeti Person of the Year. Played a huge part when Nepal Head Coach Jack Stefanovski was in Australia.
