Nepal national team skipper Sagar Thapa will score half century on Saturday.

Sagar Thapa will earn the status of legend in Nepali Football history as he is going to win 50th cap in national jersey on Saturday against Pakistan.

"I am happy to play 49 Caps for my nation", Thapa said, "I will be happy to play 50 caps but my intention will be winning the match rather than collecting individual accolade".

Thapa won his first cap in Incheon, South Korea against Vietnam in Asia Cup Qualifying 2nd leg on 27 September 2003.

Then Coach Maheshor Mulmi handed him his first cap.

Sagar entered the ground as a substitute player in 43rd minute for Ananta Thapa.

NIBL Friends defender, Thapa will be wearing arm band for 28th times on Saturday.

Thapa got an opportunity to lead the country against Kyrgyzstan on 28th March 2009 in AFC Challenge Cup held in Kathmandu.

Sagar will become third Nepalese player to earn 50 Caps for Nepal. Earlier, Bal Gopal Maharjan and Upendra Man Singh earned the feat.
