Yeti Himalayan Sherpa Club defeated McDowells RCT 5-4 on penalties to enter quarterfinals in 2nd Safal Pokhara Cup football tournament on Friday.

Ganesh Khadka scored the match winning spot kick to take revenge of the loss which they suffered in Ncell Cup a month before.

The match was headed to spot kick battle after both teams ended regulation and extra added time at null.

Yougal Kishor Rai, Olawale, Krishna Kunwar and Dilip Chhetri scored while Naresh Kc squandered the kick.

Pukar Gahtraj, Rupesh KC, Dinesh Karki, Biswas Shrestha and Ganesh Khadka all scored for YHSC to win the match.

The Mountaineers will now take on Bangladesh U-23 team in the quarterfinal match.
